Oil Spill? Really?
The Bayou

So, the past two days, I’ve been driving over to Grand Chenier, LA. Its a town that seems like it has less in it than Adams.  A whole lot of flat ground, people with no teeth and a bus that doubles as a library (I’ll get a picture tomorrow). You have to take a ferry out there and drive for about an hour through marshland before you see anything worth something. Like today, at the gas station, where we had to pick up ice for samples, there as a guy drinking a beer. It was 8AM.

And if that wasn’t enough, the Coast Guard, even if they are awesome, has been in charge of safety and think that just because they can’t send their helicopter out, that the ground teams need to come in. It wasn’t raining and everything we use is waterproof anyway.

Tomorrow I’m heading out to check the status of some sand barriers, or something
